When importing data in Power Query the columns appear in the order determined by the data source.
You can drag columns one by one to their new positions, but it takes a while.
To reorder columns using the M language, first add a new step by clicking the fx icon to the left of the formula bar.
This new step will reference the previous step, using its name as the only argument.
Use the Table.ColumnNames function to return the column names as a list, and pass the result into the List.Sort function to reorder them.
This produces a sorted list of column names.
Next, wrap the Table.ReorderColumns function around this to take the original table provided by the #"Changed Type" variable and sort it by the values of your sorted list.
The columns are now sorted alphabetically.
