Power BI | Data sources exercise | Create a table of Disney princesses

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file (if you have any problems doing this, click here for help).

You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

Create a new Power BI file, and from the above folder load the Excel workbook containing a list of the Disney Princesses.

Hide a couple of columns that we're not interested in, so that the field well looks like this:

You should hide the First appeared and Vehicle fields.


Create a table showing the number of films by feminist rating:

List of films

You'll need to change the summarisation option to do this.


Save this Power BI file with the name Not exactly the Spice Girls, then exit this instance of Power BI Desktop.
