Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file (if you have any problems doing this, click here for help).

You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

The aim of this exercise is to use the NASA API to get and show a daily image:

Image with title

Use the Simple Image custom visual to enable you to increase the size of your image to make it as big as you want.

The first thing you'll need to do is to go to the NASA API website (the link is in the text file contained in the above folder) to get an API key.  This takes a few seconds!

Incorporate your API key into the second URL given in the text file in the above folder to get an image from NASA, which you can then display in your report

When you've done this successfully, save this as This rocks and close it down.

You can unzip this file to see the answers to this exercise, although please remember this is for your personal use only.
