The November 2025 update permanently introduces the new card visual, makes changes to the image visual and brings automatic column widths to matrices.

It's been another quiet month for Power BI Desktop updates. For report creators here are the 3 main changes:

New feature	Notes
The new card visual	This visual is now permanent, and the old card and multi-card visuals have been retired.
An improved image visual	You can now - alas - set even more formatting properties for an image.
Matrix columns can auto-grow	Last month Microsoft allowed you to set column widths in a table to grow automatically to fill the space available - this month it's the turn of matrix colums.

And no, on-object interaction hasn't been released from preview!
