Part five of a five-part series of blogs

The February 2026 update to Power BI Desktop brings lots of goodies, including new slicer features, revamped cards and some new DAX functions.

Here's a quick reminder of what the new card visual can do:

You can have images for the entire visual, for each category header (as here) or for each card.

Microsoft have made a couple of small improvements to this new card visual. One is that when you click on a category header, other visuals on the page are filtered accordingly:

Here we've clicked on the category header for the country Japan, and so see all the films made in this country only.

The second improvement is that you can now have more than 5 columns in horizontal view:

I'm not sure this was worth a separate blog, but hey-ho!
