Write your own procedure to display a message box, with 2 arguments

This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file.

To avoid having to draw the form needed for this exercise, right-click on the name of your project in Solution Explorer then choose Add --> Existing Item... (you can also press SHIFT + ALT + A to do the same thing).

Choose only the file called frmSimpleMessage.cs in the above folder to import it into your project, then edit Program.cs to make this the default form. When you run your application, you should now see this:

You can type in a caption and message, but as yet nothing happens.

Attach code to the Show message button so that it will run a routine called Announce:

// display this message

Announce(txtMesssage.Text, txtTitle.Text);

Write the Announce routine! Remember that's it up to you what to call the arguments it takes.

When you run your system, you should see a message box appearing on screen:

The message which should appear if you type in a title and message as above.

Close down any forms that you have open.
