- Go into SQL Server Management Studio;
- Open the SQL file you've just unzipped (you can press CTRL + O to do this); then
- Execute this script.
This will generate the database that you'll need to use in order to do this exercise (note that the database and script are only to be used for exercises published on this website, and may not be reused or distributed in any form without the prior written permission of Wise Owl).
You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.
Create a new report called All The World's A Stage.
Create a data source in the report which connects to the Movies database.
Create a dataset which selects fields from the Actor table, as shown below:

You can select these fields from the Actor table.
Insert a table into your report and assign fields to it as shown below:

You can change the column headings as we've done here.
Create a header for the table by inserting a new row and merging its cells.

Your title doesn't need to be quite so prosaic.
Apply sorting to the table so that the actors appear alphabetically by name.

You can apply sorting on the Tablix Properties dialog box, as shown above, or in the query which populates the dataset.
Find and insert an appropriate image into the report. Resize and position the image so that your report resembles this:

Feel free to experiment with the position of the image.
Apply some formatting to the table so that when you run the report it resembles the one shown below:

You may need to adjust the column widths in your table.
Save and close your report.
