When you build an Excel pivot table from fields in multiple tables in a Power Pivot data model, you may find that relationships don't exist between the tables.
Excel offers to automatically detect relationships, but this often doesn't work.
After clicking the Auto-Detect... button, no relationships were found.
One possible reason for this is that the columns are the wrong data type - Power Pivot won't detect relationships between columns with the decimal number data type.
The GenreID values look like whole numbers, but Power Pivot has imported them as decimal numbers. Use the Data Type option to change this.
After changing the data types of the columns to Whole Number, try automatically detecting relationships again.
After changing the data type of the columns, Power Pivot can detect the relationship correctly.
