You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. If you've just created a workbook called Four legs good, open this up; otherwise, you'll need to create a new data model. You may first need to run the script in the above folder to generate the MAM database (not for commercial use or copying).
The aim of this exercise is to create the following pivot table:

This diagram, for example, shows that the species with the most sales in East Anglia was Mammal.
To do this, first add a new measure to the transactions table giving the total quantity of goods sold:

What you should have so far ...
Now add another measure to get the required ranking.
Don't forget to rank over all(Species), so that PowerPivot will compare the total sales for each filter context to the set of totals for all species.
Save this workbook as Two stats better, and close it down.
