Power BI | Basic reports exercise | Load a table of Abba songs and use it to create a table
This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.
The answer to the exercise will be included and explained if you attend one of more of the courses listed below!
You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.
Create a new Power BI file:
You can use this menu option to create a new report (or just start up a new copy of Power BI).
The above folder contains a single Excel workbook. Choose to load this data into your report:
Choose this option to load Excel data into your report.
Give the song title and release year columns in the imported table better names, and hide the album column (no one talks about albums any more):

You should now be able to create this table:
|Your data model ...||... and a table based upon it.|
Save this report as Mamma Mia, and close it down.
