Open the Music Tours - All Selected.pbix file in the folder shown above. You'll find three tables showing a count of albums, and a slicer allowing you to filter by the artist.
Each table groups the data by a different field.
The aim is to add a measure to each table which will show the percentage that each group contributes to the total for the table. To do this, you'll need to work out the count of albums, ignoring any filters applied by fields in the table, but honouring any filters applied from outside the table.
An example of the results we want to see.
One way to achieve this would be to write a separate measure for each table, removing the filter from the specific field used by each table. Here's what that might look like for a measure you could add to the table which is grouping by Genre:
You can use the REMOVEFILTERS function to remove a filter from a specific field.
Create three measures like the one shown above which you can add to the relevant table visuals.
Rather than removing filters from specific fields, you can use the ALLSELECTED function to remove any filters applied by the visual that you place the measure in. Create a single measure using a combination of the DIVIDE, CALCULATE and ALLSELECTED functions which you can use to replace the previous three measures you created.
Test that the measure works by selecting different artists from the slicer.
No matter which artist you select, the total should always be 100%.
Save and close the report.
