Power BI Desktop updates for September 2025 Part one of a four-part series of blogs |
---|
The big changes in this month's update are two preview features which will change the working lives of DAX authors when released: a new way of creating calendars and the ability to write functions in DAX.
|
This is an update which introduces two preview features which will make the lives of DAX developers very different:
Feature | Notes |
---|---|
It's now much easier to work with non-standard calendars, and you can also work with weeks as a time unit. | |
Those comfortable with programming can now create DAX functions to make their coding more efficient. |
It wasn't officially announced, but the update also has added list and text slicers by default to the visualisations pane, even though they are still theoretically in preview.
