Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file (if you have any problems doing this, click here for help).

You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. Create a new form called frmOwners that roughly resembles the example shown below:

Don't worry about the formatting of the form

Use the BeforeUpdate event of the form apply validation so that it is impossible to save a record unless:

  • The owner's name is filled in;
  • The date of birth is filled in;
  • The date of birth lies between 1st January 1900 and today's date.

Test that your validation works, then close and save the form.
