Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file (if you have any problems doing this, click here for help).

You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

Create a query based on the Pet table that will update the gender of any Boy pet into a Man pet.  Save the query with the name UpdateBoysToMen.

Create query that will update all Girl pets to Woman pets.  Save the query with the name UpdateGirlsToWomen.

Create a query that updates the date of birth of all the owners so that they become a year older.  Save the query with the name UpdateOwnersAYearOlder.

Create a query that will reverse the changes made by the previous one.  Save the query with the name UpdateOwnersAYearYounger.

The database window should now have four new queries.
