SSRS Reporting Services | Parameters exercise | Navigation link, hidden green line
This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.
You can learn how to do this exercise if you attend one of more of the courses listed below!
You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.
Create a report which shows either a green line or a red square, depending on which parameter you choose:
What you see if you choose the green line!
Save this report as Green or red, then close it down.
Too easy? Create another report which displays a list of films by certificate:
We will create a navigation link for the number of films for each certificate, as shown here
When you click on any of the white cells, you should be taken to a separate report listing out of all the films which make up this number:
The 8 certificate U films you should see for the above example
Save your reports with names starting with Green, then close them down.
