Use Excel's 3D maps feature to display data on concert tours from a Power Pivot data model.

This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file .

Open the Music Tours Maps.xlsx file in the folder shown above.

Open 3D Maps and add the Longitude and Latitude columns from the Venue table to the Location property.

Change the map type to a Heat Map and add a count of Show date to the Value property.

Add the Show date field to the Time property and play the timeline to see the values change over time.

Click the play button to animate the map.

Change the scene options to add a Push In effect with a Scene duration of 10 seconds.

You can give the scene a descriptive name.

Copy this scene and rotate the map to centre on the United States. Rename the scene and then play the tour to see the animation.

Save and close the file.

You can unzip this file to see the answers to this exercise, although please remember this is for your personal use only.
