Create a 3D map of the world's tallest buildings from a Power Pivot data model.

This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file .

Open the Tallest Buildings Maps.xlsx file in the folder shown above and from the Excel ribbon choose Data | Data Model | 3D Map to create a new 3D map.

Add the Country and City columns to the Location property and set the Height property to display the average of the Height m column.

Feel free to change the colour of the columns.

Rotate the map to China and use Scene Options to create a 5 second flyover animation.

Give the scene a descriptive name.

Copy the scene you have just created then rotate the map to focus on Saudi Arabia. Edit the Scene Options and change the Transition duration to 2 seconds.

Give the new scene a different name.

Copy the previous scene and rotate the map to focus on the United States. Change the scene name to something sensible and then play the tour.

Choose to play the entire tour.

Exit 3D maps and then save and close the file.
