PowerPivot | PowerPivot data models exercise | Create a 10-table data model and pivot table with slicer

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file (if you have any problems doing this, click here for help).

You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

To start, if you haven't already done so run the script in the above folder to generate the MAM database (not for commercial use or copying).

Not much help for this one!  Using the MAM relationship diagram as a guide, construct the following data model:

These should be the only fields visible, but you will need to connect to ten tables in total.


Using this, create the following pivot table:

The pivot table shows the total quantities sold in the North and North-West.

Save this workbook as Too many tables, then close it down.
