Create a SharePoint list based on the Excel workbook in the above folder, or use an existing list of movies that you've previously created.
The idea behind this flow is to create two variables to hold genre names:
Variable | Holds | Example value |
---|---|---|
FirstGenreName | The name of the first genre of films you want to list | Action |
SecondGenreName | The name of the second genre of films you want to list | Horror |
And also create two variables to hold the number of films found for each genre (after getting the items from your SharePoint list with a suitable OData filter applied in each case):
Variable | Holds |
---|---|
FirstGenreCount | The number of films for the first genre |
SecondGenreCount | The number of films for the second genre |
You should then compare these final two numbers, and send yourself a suitable summary email. For example:
The numbers will be different in your case, but they illustrate the idea.
You may find this flow diagram useful:
Create a parallel branch to make your flow run more efficiently (and look neater).
Try changing the genre names to check your flow still works, then return to the Power Automate home page.
