This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.
Create a blank Excel workbook and save it with the name Importing Buildings.xlsx in a location of your choice.
Choose to import data from the Tallest Buildings.xlsx file from the folder shown at the top of this exercise.
Select the Buildings worksheet.

Buildings is the only worksheet in the file.
Choose to load the data into a table in a new worksheet.

These are the default settings so you shouldn't need to change anything.
You should now have a new worksheet containing a table of tallest buildings.

Some of the data you should see.
Save the Importing Buildings.xlsx file and close down Excel.
Now we'll make some changes to the original file. Find and open the Tallest Buildings.xlsx file from the folder shown at the top of this exercise.

Double-click the file to open it.
Add the details of a new building in a new row at the bottom of the list on the Buildings worksheet.

Use the details of any building you like.
Save the Tallest Buildings.xlsx file and close it.
Open the Importing Buildings.xlsx file.

If you see this message, click Enable Content to allow external data connections.
Choose to refresh the query.

One way to do this is to choose Query | Refresh from the Excel ribbon.
Check that the data you added to Tallest Buildings.xlsx has been imported into your table.

You should see the new data at the bottom of the table.
Save and close the Importing Data.xlsx file.
