In Excel VBA, you don't have to explicitly declare your variables but it is a good idea to do so. You can make it mandatory to declare variables in a module by adding the words Option Explicit at the top of it.
You can't use non-declared variables in a module marked Option Explicit.
Rather than manually typing Option Explicit, you can make the Visual Basic Editor do this automatically whenever you create a new module. To do this, from the menu choose Tools | Options...
Choose this option to open the Options dialog box.
On the Editor tab, check the box next to Require Variable Declaration then click OK.
Choose this option to force explicit variable declaration in new modules.
Now, whenever you insert a new module, you'll find Option Explicit has been written for you!
