You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.
The above workbook contains an elephant:
The elephant is too small, the wrong colour, has no cage and is hidden in the corner
Remedy the problems shown above by recording a macro to:
- Make the elephant bigger (increase the font size to 36, say)
- Align it centrally horizontally and vertically
- Give it a cage (put a border round the cell)
- Make it the right colour (make the background grey)
The result of all this should be a caged grey elephant:
Stop recording - you should now have a macro of at least 50 lines. Strip out the unnecessary code to reduce it as far as possible (we can't get it below 12 lines).
Save this revised file as Formatted elephant.xlsm.
