Some suggestions for activities for your next company team-building day.
Use the adaptive card designer to create the following adaptive card for adding a suggestion to this list (obviously you may choose a different logo at the top, alhtough if you want to use the Wise Owl logo you'll find it in the folder shown at the start of this exercise):
Remember to give your input text box fields ids, so you can reference them in a flow.
Create a new flow called Exercise NN - activity suggestion as follows:
The start of your flow should contain an action to post an adaptive card and wait for a response.
When writing this exercise we initially included an intermediate action to hold the JSON for the adaptive card in a variable, but it turns out that Power Automate can't then pick up on the ids of the adaptive card fields to detect what the user has typed in. C'est la vie!
Configure your action to post your adaptive card:
Copy the JSON from the adaptive card designer and post this into the Message parameter. You'll also need to choose a valid Teams channel.
Add an action to your flow to add any suggestion received to your Excel table:
You'll need to pick up on the ids of the text input blocks you created in your adaptive card.
Test that your flow works:
When you add an activity suggestion through your adaptive card in Teams, this should appear in your Excel table.
A final thought: what are you going to do for your next company day out?
