Copy a range to the end of an existing list using getRangeEdge, getOffsetRange and getExtendedRange.

This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file.

Open the WODA Application.xlsx file. The aim of the exercise is to copy the new values from Sheet1 to the end of the list on Sheet2.

New details to copy

You can enter your own details if you prefer.

To do this, create a new script and write an instruction which:

Refers to cell A1 on Sheet2 then uses the getRangeEdge and getOffsetRange methods to find the next blank cell in column A.
Applies the copyFrom method to this cell.
Uses the getExtendedRange method to reference the column of values starting in cell C4 on Sheet1.
Transposes the copied cells from a column to a row.

Run the script and check that the details were copied to the appropriate place:

The new row should appear at the end of the list on Sheet2.

Add an instruction which clears the cells on Sheet1 that you copied the details from.

Save the script and workbook then close them both.
