Open the Dinosaurs.xlsx file and the Dinosaurs Functions script.
You should notice a couple of errors in the script.
The aim of the exercise is to write a function which will convert metres into feet and inches.
The final result should resemble the example shown here.
Create a new function convertMetresToFeetInches in the same script with the following characteristics:
The function's name should be convertMetresToFeetInches.
It should have a single parameter called metres which accepts a number.
The function should return a string.
You can use the basic syntax shown below as a guide:
function myFunctionName(myParameter: parameterType): returnType {
}
In the function, calculate the total inches by multiplying the value of metres by 39.37008 and store the result in a variable.
Next, calculate the number of whole feet using the following formula and store the result in a variable:
Math.trunc(totalInches / 12);
Calculate the remaining inches rounded to the nearest integer using the following formula and capture the result in a variable:
Math.round(totalInches % 12);
Concatenate the values of the variables with some text to get the final value and tell the function to return the result.
Run the script to make sure that your function works, then save and close the script and workbook.
