Some people love OneDrive: they use it as their default and sole file storage, and everything is hunky dory. But then there are those - like us - who object to having it forced upon us. Here's how you can mitigate against some of the worst effects of OneDrive's persistence by turning off backstage view and autosave.
As we all know a picture paints a thousand words. Recognising this, we now let you paste images into your posts when adding comments to our website. HTML editors which are as easy to use as this are quite rare on the Internet - even StackOverflow make a meal of this feature - so we're quite proud of how easy this is to do. See what you think!
Two items of keyboard news this month! Did you know that you can move an application from one window to another when you're working wtih multiple screens with a single keyboard short-cut? Or that every Windows keyboard now has to have a new dedicated Copilot key (with a wishy-washy design)?
We wanted to get some photos of a typical Wise Owl training course for marketing purposes, for which we needed a representative sample of people. So that's why last Monday found us in the Holiday Inn in Manchester with 4 actors and a photographer on the photo-shoot that Simone (our marketing guru) organised!
The Power BI update for December allows you to format the life out of column charts, bar charts, ribbon charts, data labels and Azure map cluster bubbles (as is now traditional, there wasn't an update in January). Staying with Power BI, we completely rewrote our DAX courseware last September, and are currently revamping our Power BI manuals.
Congratulations to Paul M of Rochdale Council for being the person whose answer was picked by our weighted randomised sorting hat: he wins a £50 voucher. You can see some analysis of the answers and responses received here. This month we have a mini-quiz (with a mini-prize of £25): see if you can identify the 5 Abba songs represented by our pictures.
