The latest update to SQL Server Management Studio 22 adds a SQL Formatter tool which allows you to quickly tidy up messy SQL code with a couple of clicks, as shown in the diagram below:

Right-click your messy code and choose Format SQL.
SSMS will format and rearrange your code to make it neater and easier to read.

The tool adds line breaks, capitalises keywords and aligns text.
You can change settings for the SQL Formatter by choosing Tools | Options... from the menu and then selecting the SQL Formatter page

Here we're changing the case of keywords.
After applying the Format SQL option to our query again, the keywords are now in lower case:
