When setting up Python in Visual Studio Code for the first time, you may notice there is no keyboard shortcut for Run Python File.

Thankfully, this is a travesty we can easy rectify.
To assign a keyboard shortcut, open the Keyboard Shortcuts menu by pressing Ctrl + K, Ctrl +S and search for Run Python File.
Double-click the command you want to modify and assign a shortcut. Here I am using Shift +' (back tick).

Hit enter to apply this shortcut to the action.
Switch back to your script and now a keyboard shortcut should appear next to Run Python File in the menu.

A full two mouse clicks saved from now on.
