Wise Owl's monthly (ish) news tweet | Issue 42 - February 2021
The items included in this newsletter are listed below. Our newsletter go out about once a month - if you'd like to subscribe, just let us know!
We get many enquiries from people wanting to book places onto our public three-day fast-track courses. Up to now we've only made these available as in-company courses, but we've now decided to throw these open to public bookings. You can take our accelerated three-day courses in C#, DAX, Power BI, SQL, SSIS, SSRS and VBA (although you've still got the option of tailoring your own course if you prefer).
If you enjoy doing our occasional word searches, why not create your own in Excel? If you're interested in learning more about how to build computer systems (and specifically VBA programs), we've also published a blog showing how we built our word search generation system from first sitting down with an idea and a sheet of paper (there are 30 years of programming experience condensed into this master class!).
We've got over 500 testimonials on our website (we only show these for courses run in the last 3 years, so they're always up to date). We've now added a note next to each review to say whether it was for an online or classroom course, so you can see what people thought about each type of training. Many thanks, as ever, to those kind people who have agreed to let us publish their opinions.
If you have already dabbled with Power BI and consider yourself a quick learner (and you're not fazed by the thought of three intensive days in front of your computer screen), we now have two versions of our fast-track Power BI course. The Power BI version aims to cover the two-day introduction and two-day advanced course in three intensive days, while the DAX version aims to combine the two-day introduction and two-day DAX courses into a single three-day course. Incidentally, if you're wondering why there's no Power BI update for January ... so are we!
For this month's competition, see if you can find the 47 related missing items in our word search (the unused letters should then spell out the 48th - and best - item). Congratulations to Amanda Wilding of ReAssure for winning last month's quiz competition - you can see more details (including which questions most people got right/wrong) here.
