You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our blogs. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.
The answer to the September 2020 newsletter competition
Thanks to everyone who entered last month's competition. The word search contained all 50 states of the USA:

The unused letters, read from left to right and top to bottom, spelt out this quote attributed to Winston Churchill:

The first name out of the sorting hat this month was Vincent Vaughan of Public Health England, who wins this month's £50 Amazon voucher.
If employees of Public Health England keep winning this competition every month, the integrity of the judges (and randomness of the Wise Owl sorting hat) will be called into question. I promise the winner is chosen completely at random!
