You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our blogs. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.
Changes to the DAX editor
If you're in the business of training (or you're over a certain age) this is the single most welcome change since Power BI first launched! Hyperbole? Judge for yourself:
Font too small? Hold down the Ctrl key and use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
The maximum zoom isn't that big, but it means that people at the back of a class will be able to see formulae we're projecting!
Thank you, Microsoft - thank you!
There's another welcome change too. When you click on the downward arrow on the right of the formula bar, the formula editing window is now nearly the height of the Power BI window:
Previously the height of this window was limited to 11 lines.
The Power BI elves have been busy in the run up to Christmas, ensuring that Santa's gifts have arrived early (and in the form of a software update). Am I overdoing this? It'll certainly change our lives at the owlery!
