You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our blogs. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

Extra DAX functions

There are now two new functions in DAX in Power BI Desktop:

Function What it does
UTCNOW() Returns the current date and time using universal coordinated time (or GMT, as it's called in the UK).
UTCTODAY() Returns the current date only using universal coordinated time.

It's pretty hard to test these when you're writing a blog within the UK, which is on GMT, but I'm guessing it works ... !
