Visual Studio training courses

Visual Studio is Microsoft's main application for developing systems (be they websites, standalone applications, SQL Server reports or Microsoft Office add-ins).  Here are some of the things that you can do using Visual Studio:

• Develop websites using ASP.NET
• Create standalone WPF (using VB) or WPF (using C#) applications
• Create standalone applications using Windows Forms in VB or C# WinForms applications
• Create Microsoft Office add-ins using Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO)
• Create and publish SQL Server Reporting Services reports using Business Intelligence Develoipment Studio

Recent versions of Visual Studio are as follows:

• Visual Studio 2010 is the latest version, with a new blue icon and theme and lots of tweaks (for example, you can now zoom in and out using the CTRL key and mouse wheel).  Wise Owl run all of our .NET courses using Visual Studio 2010.
• Visual Studio 2008 introduced better code autocompletion (Intellisense), LINQ and AJAX

And the really amazing thing about Visual Studio is that you don't even have to pay for it if you download the perfectly adequate Express edition!
