You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

To start, if you haven't already done so run the script in the above folder to generate the MAM database (not for commercial use or copying).

The aim of this exercise is to create the following pivot table, showing the total quantity of goods sold on the first and last day of each month and year:

First and last day totals

It makes sense, for example, that the total for the last day of 2009 should be 231, since this is also the total for the last day of December.

A hint: one of the formula, for example, will be =calculate(sum('Transaction'[Quantity]),firstdate(Calendar[Date])).
