Exercise: Creating a report based on a simple stored procedure

Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file (if you have any problems doing this, click here for help).

You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

Create a stored procedure called spLuvvies listing out the actors in the database in date of birth order:

The first few actors which your stored procedure should return (the date of birth is also part of this stored procedure, but isn't shown here).

 

Now create a report called Luvvies based on this stored procedure to show these actors:

The report will just list out the results from the stored procedure.
