Before you can do this exercise, you'll need to download and unzip this file (if you have any problems doing this, click here for help).

You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.

Either use an existing WOMP website, or create a new website and add the 4 files in the above folder into it.

Create a new form called frmFilmEntry to allow people to type in new films.  This should display an error if you don't fill in a film name:

ASP.NET 4.0 - Visual Basic exercise - Coding web pages (image 1)

If you miss out the film name, you should see an error when you click on CONTINUE

Alternatively, if you fill in a film name the form should redisplay it:

What you should see if you enter a film name

With a certain amount of smugness, close down any files you may have open and close your website.
