SSAS - MULTIDIMENSIONAL EXERCISES
Exercise: Complicated MDX query for 2 shopping centres
This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.
Create a query which creates a named set called [Local Shopping Centres] to include the following members:
- Snipe Retail Park
- The Trafford Centre
Using this named set, extend your query to show total sales for these two centres for all of the dates in the Calendar Id level of the Calendar hierarchy, but using a WHERE clause to restrict data to the tuple given by:
- the March 2010 member of the UK Month hierarchy of the Calendar dimension; and
- the Owl member of the Animal Id level of the Classification hierarchy of the Product dimension
This should give total sales data for the two selected shopping centres for sales of owls in March 2010:
