ACCESS 2010 EXERCISES
Exercise: Reports - diversified financial companies
This exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to choose the correct Wise Owl Microsoft training course, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.
The answer to the exercise will be included and explained if you attend one of more of the courses listed below!
You need a minimum screen resolution of about 700 pixels width to see our exercises. This is because they contain diagrams and tables which would not be viewable easily on a mobile phone or small laptop. Please use a larger tablet, notebook or desktop computer, or change your screen resolution settings.
Open the database in the above folder.
Create a new query called qryDiversifiedFinancials which shows the 12 companies in the Diversifed Financials industry sector.
Don't bother typing in the whole of Diversifed Financials in the criteria row - just "Like Divers*" would do.
Create a report using the Stepped layout and Concourse style which shows total assets and market value by country, with the companies listed alphabetically within each country:
Initially your report will look something like this
Make changes to your report to make it prettier - here is a suggestion:
The same report with formatting
Save this report as repDiversifiedFinancial, then close it and the database down.
