Advanced Visual Basic and C# courses launched

We've made two important changes to our .NET courses.  First and foremost, we've launched two new courses:

• Advanced Visual Basic 2010, including classes and LINQ; and
• Advanced Visual C# 2010, including classes and LINQ.

Each of these courses lasts for 3 days, and covers creating and using classes in .NET and accessing data using LINQ. 

The courses are aimed at two distinct types of people, each of whom will benefit from attending:

• People who have attended our introductory Windows Forms, ASP.NET or (from now) WPF courses often want to learn more about general programming.  The advanced courses are designed to follow on from these introductory courses.
• Alternatively, programmers often struggle to upgrade their skills from the likes of VB6 or C++.  The course is also aimed at people who can do basic programming, and who need to know about object-orientated programming.

The other big changes we've made to our .NET training is that all of our courses have been upgraded to Visual Studio 2010, Visual Basic 2010 and Visual C# 2010.  While functionally this didn't involve much change, it was an enormous amount of work on our part, as Visual Studio 2010 looks quite different to Visual Studio 2008.
