These pages summarise the changes introduced in different versions of Microsoft Excel, as they affect Wise Owl training courses.
Excel 2007 has introduced lots of new features, including a new page layout view for editing headers/footers on the fly, easier-to-use lists (now called data tables) and above all better autocompletion for entering formulae. The Office 2007 ribbon exaggerates the differences between Excel 2007 and previous versions, which actually are not that great.
We currently train in Microsoft Excel 2003 and Excel 2007, although you can choose to use a different version.
You can click on any of the links below to see notes on which features were introduced in which version of Microsoft Excel:
Alternatively you can return to the summary version changes page to choose a different software application.
