Outlook 2007 includes a new user interface for sending email, much better tools for sharing data between applications and colour-coded categories (!). Specific changes include:
| Change | Details |
|---|---|
| Instant searching | You can now search for things across all of your mailboxes more easily, and much more quickly. |
![]() |
|
| Colour categories | You can now apply colour categories to mail messages. This sounds like a gimmick, but is actually quite nice to use. |

|
| New user interface | The new Microsoft ribbon appears when sending email - but not, strangely, when using Outlook normally. |
![]() |
|
| New to-do bar | A single to do bar on the right-hand side of Outlook gives you a single view summary of everything you have to do. |

|
| Better task handling | You can now drag tasks onto the calendar to assign them to specific days. |
