FrontPage 2000 improves hugely over the first Microsoft offering - but it has to be said still has a long way to go. Upgrade from FrontPage 98, by all means - but do it to FrontPage 2003 if possible. Specific changes include:
| Change | Details |
|---|---|
| General look and feel | FrontPage merged the previous Editor and Explorer tool into one - thus hugely improving the package |
![]() |
|
| Modifying themes and CSS | You can now modify a theme without needing to be a guru, and also save it as a style sheet (some options are shown in the part-dialog-box below) |
![]() |
|
| HTML formatting | FrontPage has more or less got over its annoying habit of rewriting your HTML |
![]() |
|
| Visual Basic | You can now write VBA macros to manipulate your web sites and pages - MS Office developers will recognise the screen below |
![]() |
