Excel 2000 training - what's new for Excel 2000

The main changes for Excel 2000 were to do with pivot tables and pivot charts, with improved HTML support a bonus for web developers. Specific changes include:

Change	Details
Pivot charts	You can now create pivot charts, bringing the flexibility of pivot tables to charting - they sound useful, but it can be hard to see when you would use them. In the example below, you can change what you are charting by choosing a different item from the drop list.
Pivot tables	There are a number of new features to make it easier to create pivot tables - but not enough to make it worth upgrading your version of Excel, in our opinion
Digital macro signing	You can now digitally sign your macros, and only open workbooks whose digital signature you trust
