1) Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-900.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2) Little Red Riding Hood needs to get through the woods to reach her grandmother's cottage (otherwise known as cell G6):
Exercise screen-shot 1992 We have to make these exercises interesting somehow!
3) Write a macro to select:
  • Little Red Riding Hood's home at cell B4 (use absolute selection for this); then
  • The start of the maze (go down 0 cells and right 2 to get there)
4) Now extend your macro using OFFSET commands to get to grandmother's cottage.  If it helps, you need to go:
  • right one cell
  • down one cell
  • left one cell
  • down 4 cells
  • right one cell
  • up 3 cells
  • right 2 cells
5) Save your file as RRH maze answer.xlsm, then close it down.

Thank you for showing an interest in this Excel 2007 Visual Basic training course! As mentioned above, full answers to this and other exercises are provided on the course. On all Wise Owl scheduled courses delegates can take away these model answers (together with their own efforts!) on a free USB stick.
