This Microsoft Visio LAYERS exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to assess their suitability for the Wise Owl ADVANCED MICROSOFT VISIO course only, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Exercise: Room Layers - Changing Layer Assignments

1)	Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-484.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2)	Open the file Room Layers.vsd
3)	Add several desk and chair shapes to the room as shown in the diagram below.
	Arrange the furniture as you see fit.
4)	Format the layer assignments of the desks and chairs so that they are assigned only to the Furniture layer.
	Select all the shapes and from the menu choose: Format Layer...
5)	Add some computer shapes to the desks and make sure that they are only assigned to the Computer layer.
	You will need to remove the tick from the Equipment layer.
6)	From the menu choose: View Layer Properties... and remove any unreferenced layers.
	There should be two layers to be removed.
7)	Practice making the different layers visible and invisible and changing layer colours.
