Exercise: Seating Plan - Export to Database
| 1) | Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-509.zip |
| 2) | Create a new Excel file, save it as Guest Data.xls and close it down. |
| 3) | Open the file Seats for Export.vsd |
| 4) | Select all the chair shapes and from the menu select Tools Export to Database... |
| 5) | From the Name drop list choose Excel Files |
There are lots of types of database you can export to.

| 6) | Select the Excel file Guest Data.xls |
| 7) | Delete all the properties in the Cells to export list apart from the ones shown below: |
You can use the Add... button to get back any that you have deleted.

| 8) | Modify the five Prop.Row cells so that the field names match the diagram shown above. |
| 9) | Click OK to export the data. |
| 10) | Open the Excel file Guest Data.xls and view the NewTable sheet. |
| 11) | Save the Excel and Visio files and close them down. |
