This Microsoft Publisher WORKING WITH TEXT exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to assess their suitability for the Wise Owl MICROSOFT PUBLISHER course only, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.
A full answer to this exercise is provided as part of the training course!
| 1) | Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-637.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it). |
| 2) | Open the file Pylon Story - without link. |
| 3) | Select the text box that contains the main article text. |
The icon shows that this text box has text in overflow.
| 4) | Draw a new text box in the space at the bottom right of the page. |
| 5) | Select the text box containing the main article text again, and from the toolbar click the Create Text Box Link button. |
This is the button you need to click.
| 6) | Move the mouse over the empty text box you have just drawn and click once to 'pour' the overflow text into this box. |
The mouse cursor will change to this shape.
| 7) | Make sure that all the text fits. You may need to resize the text box to make sure. |
Thank you for showing an interest in this Microsoft Publisher training course! As mentioned above, full answers to this and other exercises are provided on the course. On all Wise Owl scheduled courses delegates can take away these model answers (together with their own efforts!) on a free USB stick.
