This Microsoft Office TABLES - BASIC exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to assess their suitability for the Wise Owl INTRODUCTION TO WORD course only, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Exercise: Tables -creating and editing - House details

1) On a new document, type in the title and create a new table.  Type in the text in each cell as it appears in the example below.
2) You will also need to make the following changes to your table:
  • Change the column widths
  • Centre the table between the margins
  • Centre align the 4 middle columns.
  • Add bold and a shading colour to the top titles
3) Your finished table should now look something like this:

4) Save the document with the name:        House details
5) Print your table (if possible) and then close the file.
