This Microsoft Office PRINTING exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to assess their suitability for the Wise Owl INTRODUCTION TO EXCEL course only, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Exercise: Printing - weight loss

1) Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-698.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2) Open the workbook called:    Weight loss formatted for printing.xls        from the folder shown above.
3) In print preview, make the following changes to the print settings:
  • Change the orientation to landscape
  • Centre the workbook on the page both vertically and horizontally
  • Add a custom header with the following details: Left:  Filename is automatically printed here Centre:  Slim without Sin          (in a fancy font) Right:  Printed on:    then the date is automatically printed
4) Check your new settings on the print preview screen and then print it out (if possible!).
5) Your workbook should look something like this in print preview:

6) Save the workbook with the new name:     Weight loss with print settings
