This Microsoft Office DATA TABLES exercise is provided to allow potential course delegates to assess their suitability for the Wise Owl EXCEL BUSINESS MODELLING course only, and may not be reproduced in whole or in part in any format without the prior written consent of Wise Owl.

Exercise: Data tables - one way

A full answer to this exercise is provided as part of the training course!

1) Download the files needed to start this exercise: exercise-669.zip (and click here if you experience any problems unzipping this file after downloading it).
2) Open the file in the above folder, and go to the Inputs sheet.
3) Create the skeleton structure for a one-way data table as shown below.  This must be on the same sheet as the cell whose value you are varying (in this case, the initial investment in cell F15).

4) Create a one-way data table comparing the NPV and IRR for different initial investments:

5) Save the file with the same name and close it down.
